1. Overview
CrateSkate provides a limited warranty review for eligible products purchased directly from Crateskate.com. This policy is intended to cover verified manufacturing defects, not normal wear, accidental damage, riding impact, misuse, installation issues, or cosmetic wear caused by use.
Customers should review product details, size, specifications, compatibility, return terms, shipping terms, and warranty coverage before placing an order.
2. Warranty Coverage Period
Warranty claims must be submitted within 30 days after delivery. Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted unless a longer manufacturer warranty is clearly stated on the product page or required by applicable law.
If a product includes a separate manufacturer warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty terms may apply. CrateSkate may help direct customers to the appropriate support process where possible.
3. What This Warranty May Cover
This limited warranty may cover manufacturing defects that were present before customer use, subject to inspection and approval.
- Incorrect manufacturing or structural defects confirmed during review.
- Product defects that prevent normal intended use before installation, assembly, or riding.
- Missing parts or accessories when reported promptly after delivery.
- Incorrect item received compared with the confirmed order details.
- Damage clearly caused before delivery, when supported by photos of product and packaging.
Approval depends on order records, product condition, photos, packaging evidence, and inspection results.
4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
Skateboard products naturally experience wear, pressure, impact, and surface marks during use. The following are not covered by this limited warranty:
- Normal wear and tear from skating, riding, grinding, tricks, impact, or outdoor use.
- Scratches, scuffs, dents, chips, pressure cracks, razor tail, wheel bite, flat spots, or worn graphics caused by use.
- Decks that are gripped, drilled, mounted, skated, cracked from impact, snapped during use, or damaged by improper setup.
- Trucks, wheels, bearings, hardware, or grip tape damaged by installation, riding, misuse, or poor maintenance.
- Damage caused by water, moisture, heat, chemicals, improper storage, or extreme conditions.
- Protective gear damaged by impact, crash, misuse, alteration, or repeated wear.
- Apparel damaged by washing, wearing, staining, shrinking, stretching, misuse, or removing tags.
- Products altered, repaired, modified, customized, or used outside normal intended purpose.
- Damage caused by customer assembly, incorrect installation, incompatible parts, or third-party repair.
- Final sale, clearance, custom, personalized, or special-order products where warranty limits are clearly stated.

7. Inspection and Review Process
Warranty claims are reviewed based on the information provided by the customer, order records, product condition, photos, packaging evidence, and any required inspection.
- CrateSkate may request additional photos, videos, or details.
- CrateSkate may request the product be returned for physical inspection.
- Inspection does not guarantee approval.
- If the issue is caused by use, misuse, installation, riding damage, or excluded conditions, the claim may be denied.
- If a manufacturer warranty applies, the customer may need to follow the manufacturer’s claim process.
8. Possible Warranty Resolutions
If a warranty claim is approved, CrateSkate may provide one of the following solutions depending on the product, issue, stock availability, and claim details:
- Replacement product.
- Replacement part.
- Store credit.
- Refund to the original payment method.
- Manufacturer warranty direction or support where applicable.
The exact resolution is determined after claim review and may depend on inventory availability.
9. Warranty Shipping
Warranty shipping responsibility depends on the claim reason and review result.
| Situation | Shipping Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Approved manufacturing defect or incorrect item | CrateSkate may provide return instructions, prepaid label, replacement, or refund solution. |
| Claim requires inspection | CrateSkate will provide instructions before the customer ships the product. |
| Claim denied after review | Customer may be responsible for return shipping if they want the product sent back. |
| Unauthorized product return | Customer may be responsible for return shipping, delay, or refusal. |
10. Warranty Claims vs Returns
Warranty claims are different from standard returns. A warranty claim is used when the customer believes the product has a manufacturing defect or product issue covered by this policy.
If you want to return an unused item for buyer’s remorse, wrong item ordered, style preference, or no longer needed, review our full Return and Refund Policy.
11. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for using skateboard products safely and appropriately. Before use, customers should inspect products, confirm compatibility, follow safe riding practices, use proper protective gear, and avoid unsafe conditions.
- Check product condition before riding.
- Use compatible parts and correct installation methods.
- Do not use damaged, cracked, loose, worn, or unsafe products.
- Wear appropriate protective gear when skating.
- Keep products away from water, extreme heat, and improper storage conditions.
